Milling Further processing of the forged blank
The basis for the milling process is a so-called "blind" forging blank. A forging pot without a specific wheel design is forged and rolled out in our company. This blank resembles a large, bulky aluminum block, but - thanks to the forging process - has the same properties as a 3D forged wheel.
This is followed by sophisticated 5-axis milling, a machining process in which the final shape and design of the wheel is milled from the block. A careful surface treatment is then carried out.
It goes without saying that our forged milled wheels also undergo strict quality controls in order to meet the high FUCHSFELGEN standards. This manufacturing method not only allows us to realize almost any design request, but also to produce smaller quantities thanks to lower tool costs and manageable development costs.
